Torre Longosardo

Historical symbol of Santa Teresa Gallura, the Tower of Longosardo stands imperious dominating Rena Bianca, Blue Flag beach of Europe, as it was to protect one of the most beautiful coastal views of Sardinia.

Built in the late sixteenth century, blocks of granite, the Tower Longosarda of Santa Teresa Gallura has powerful forms and consists of a truncated cone, topped with a cylinder.
The building measures at the base about 19 meters in diameter, while the height reaches 11 meters .. The room interior culminates in once mushroom, supported by a central pillar, with a single light that comes from the small window that opens on the side opposite the entrance, reached via the classical staircase that runs around the perimeter.
Remodeled several times over the centuries, is now home to numerous exhibitions and events related to the territory and traditions teresine and Sardinia, in a full calendar and organized by Cooltour, an association that takes care of the visit to the Tower and the archaeological site Lu Brandali.
